Who are we?

The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee is appointed by the Victorian Government under the Crown Land Reserves Act to manage foreshore reserves along the Great Ocean Road.

The Committee comprises 9 skills-based volunteer members. More

Why does the coast need managing?

Coastal photoThe dramatic and lovely Great Ocean Road coast is now the most visited part of Victoria. This puts pressure on the coastal environment. GORCC manages a large range of facilities and activities along the coast. More

What coast do we look after?

We manage 37 km of coastal reserves between Torquay and Lorne, along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. We also manage the Torquay and Lorne Foreshore Caravan Parks.

Torquay's young 'uns benefit from GORCC-Rotary Partnership
Youngsters visiting or living in Torquay can now enjoy new purpose-built playground equipment thanks to a recent joint effort between the Great Ocean Road Coast Committee and the Rotary Club of Torquay.

GORCC invites Lorne to join in the adventure
The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee is inviting the Lorne community to join in the official launch of the new Adventure Playground on the Lorne Foreshore.

GORCC has won the Premiers Sustainability Award, presented by Premier John Brumby at a ceremony in Melbourne on 17th April 2008.

Split Point Precinct Masterplan
GORCC and Surf Coast Shire are collaborating on a project to improve public land in the Split Point Precinct in Aireys Inlet.
