Cumberland River

Cumberland River

Located 7km south of Lorne, the Cumberland River is dubbed the ‘wiggly bit’ of the Great Ocean Road where the mountains meet the sea. A fantastic location for picnics, day trips and walks, the Cumberland River is the southernmost point of the Great Ocean Road Coast management.

The river’s popular ‘swimming hole’ is the perfect place to relax on a hot summer’s day, or you can venture inland and enjoy the spectacular Great Otway National Park.

It is also home to the leased Cumberland River Holiday Park.
