Meet the team behind the work

Our conservation team

Our conservation team works closely with dedicated environmental volunteers to actively protect and enhance the native biodiversity along the Great Ocean Road. You’ll often see our dedicated team out on the coast helping to implement long-term conservation strategies for the protection of the Surf Coast’s native vegetation and wildlife.

The conservation team (L-R): Scott, Kim, Evan, Rachael and Hamilton.

Volunteer workers

The Conservation Team works closely with university and TAFE groups and often have several groups completing placement throughout the year.

Students studying their Bachelor of Environmental Science or TAFE Diploma of Conservation Land Management are often required to undertake a certain number of practical hours.

The Great Ocean Road Coast welcomes the extra hands and help provide training for hands-on practical management strategies.
