There are a number of excellent learn-to-surf schools run by experienced local surfers who will have you standing up on the board in no time.

For the more experienced surfer, the choice of surf breaks is seemingly endless. From Bird Rock, west of Jan Juc, to Bells Beach, Fairhaven and beyond, the Great Ocean Road will spoil you for choice.
