Coastal Management Plan Community Reference Group
About this page
The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee is establishing a Community Reference Group for the creation of a new Coastal Management Plan.
The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC) has appointed 24 community members and an independent chair to a Community Reference Group which will support the development of the Coastal Management Plan.
The Community Reference Group, whose Members were appointed following an Expressions of Interest process in September 2011, will provide invaluable input and feedback during development of the Coastal Management Plan.
Members are representative of a range of coastal users, geographic locations and perspectives.
The Community Reference Group will be chaired by Mr. Luke Hynes, who has worked in the natural-resource management industry since 2002. Mr. Hynes has worked extensively as an ecological consultant, with a particular focus on the Corangamite, Surf Coast and Geelong area and is actively involved with several community-based projects and holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons).
Members will help GORCC to identify and consider the wide range of interests, needs and views of the many groups and individuals who love the coast and will also play an important role in providing information about the Coastal Management Plan to other community members.
