Our capital works program for 2010 includes:

• Replacing the ageing public toilet block on The Esplanade foreshore between Bell Street and Price Street, Torquay.
• Minor upgrade works to Point Roadknight\'s beach car parks, which include installing new vehicle barriers to enhance pedestrian safety and provide an uninterrupted pathway through the car parks. These works also aim to enhance the works currently underway to redevelop the Surf Coast Walk. Other works on the drawing board include new picnic furniture along with mulching and planting.
• Rebuilding beach access steps at Jan Juc and Sandy Gully in Aireys Inlet being rebuilt to mitigate risks and improve accessibility.
• Building and installing new picnic tables in Lorne to replace outmoded and ageing facilities. The new tables will feature recycled timber and steel.
