GORCC's response to the Improving Equity of Access to Crown Land Caravan and Camping Parks Policy Statement - released on 19 May 2010 by the Environment and Climate Change Minister Gavin Jennings
The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC) welcomes the release of the new State Government policy statement Improving equity of access to Crown land caravan and camping parks.
As the Committee of Management for the Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park, GORCC is responsible for implementing the policy.
The policy has been developed to improve equity of access to Crown land parks in Victoria, enabling affordable holidays for all Victorians, and will be implemented in May 2012.
We are committed to working to ensure all campers are fully informed on the policy, how we will be implementing it and how it may or may not affect each individual/family.
We look forward to working with the Department of Sustainability and Environment, Coastal Camping Victoria and other stakeholders to improve access to our caravan parks.
