Erskine River

Erskine River

The Erskine River runs through the heart and soul of Lorne and connects the coast to the rainforest. Follow the river inland and you will discover one of the Great Otway National Parks greatest treasures, the Erskine Falls where 30m of water cascades over the fern-filled gully.

The Erskine River precinct is a popular tourist destination year-round as it offers scenic public spaces for fishing, picnics, and swimming. With the Lorne supermarket, Swing Bridge and café located nearby, it’s should be your next holiday destination.

With the Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park backing onto the river, there’s no better place in Lorne to stay. Wake up to the tranquil river and maybe even catch a bite.

Erskine River is a timeshare dog friendly area and from the December 1 – February 28 and Easter dogs are only permitted off leash between 7pm and 9am. All other times dogs are allowed off leash, under control. For more information about dog friendly beaches, visit the Surf Coast Shire’s website.
