GORCC works with a broad range of partners who provide valuable support for our coastal management initiatives.
Community groups, businesses, indigenous groups, visitors and government agencies all play an important role in protecting our valuable coastline.
Our partners include:
- Department of Sustainability and Environment who oversees and supports GORCC and our coastal management initiatives.
- Surf Coast Shire manages the Bells Beach Surfing Reserve, Split Point Lighthouse and other small reserve areas. GORCC has established a Joint Working Party with Surf Coast Shire to coordinate activities. [more]
- Parks Victoria manages coastal reserves as part of the Great Otway National Park.
- Western Coastal Board oversees strategic coastal matters for the west coast of Victoria. [more]
- Community organisations involved in recreation, rescue, environment and cultural activities. [more]
- Indigenous groups including Wathaurong Aboriginal Cooperative Ltd and Framlingham Aboriginal Trust.
- Clients and customers such as caravan park guests.
- Other stakeholders such as commercial operators and user groups.
- Other Committees of Management including Barwon Coast, Bellarine Bayside, Apollo Bay-Kennett River Foreshore Committee of Management.
